How does it work?
Crooked and misaligned teeth can not only affect the appearance of your smile, but their position can also cause other complications. If your teeth are not properly aligned, it can affect your bite. When the upper and lower teeth do not fit together harmoniously, it can make it difficult to chew or speak. Oral problems may develop, such as uneven enamel erosion or disruption of the temporomandibular joint, which connects the jaw to the skull. Modern techniques and technologies allow correcting an irregular bite without the use of braces or plates, but with the help of transparent aligners. D Aligner can give you the beautiful, functional smile you deserve.
When you wear a custom-made D Aligner tooth straightener, your teeth gradually move into the correct position. Straightening teeth with clear braces can address occlusal problems including:
Deep bite
In the case of a deep bite, all teeth are in contact with each other, the front teeth overlap maximally. Sometimes, when biting, the upper teeth can completely cover the lower ones. seen in cases of posterior occlusion. The main reason is that the lower jaw is too small. With D Aligner dental trays, there is a problem of deep bite, intrusion of the front teeth and extrusion of the lateral teeth.
Tooth crowding
Due to the lack of space in the dental arch, the teeth can crowd, overlap and rotate, sometimes leaning forward or backward. Crowded teeth can make oral hygiene difficult, it is difficult to clean between the teeth. Plaque, tartar and harmful bacteria build up more easily, which can lead to tooth decay and gum disease. Teeth decay faster. With D Aligner tooth straightening aligners, light crowding is easily straightened by interdental grinding. In severe crowding, additional orthodontic appliances may be required.
Cross bite
In a crossbite, the upper teeth are inclined inwards more than the lower ones. Treatment can be a bit more complicated. Elastics and other additional orthodontic appliances or to raise the bite may be needed.
Spaces between teeth
A diastema is a gap between the upper and lower first front teeth (central molars). Increased gaps can be not only between front teeth, but also between other teeth. Thinned teeth cause discomfort - chewing, pronouncing sounds. Closing the gap between the teeth can be done with orthodontic treatment with clear aligners.
Open bite
Only the molars are in contact with each other. Even when biting, there is a gap between the front teeth. A common cause is an irregular position of the upper jaw or a bad growth direction of the lower jaw. An open bite is treated with aligners much more simply than with the brace system.
Distal occlusion
When the upper dental arch is more forward than the lower. This is quite a common bite pathology. When correcting the distal occlusion with teeth straightening trays, it is usually necessary to wear elastics in addition.
Mesial occlusion
When the lower dental arch is more forward than the upper. During orthodontic treatment with braces, it is usually necessary to additionally wear elastics.
Success stories
Nering's success story
Do you care about aesthetic appearance, beauty? Do you think a smile is an important aspect of appearance?
I am a big esthete and for me it is very important not only to keep my environment neat, but also to look good, which is given a lot of added value by a beautiful smile.
Present your orthodontic treatment case. Have you thought about straightening your teeth before? If so, why did you delay treatment?
My long road to teeth straightening started at the age of 12. At that time, no one in Lithuania knew about the treatment with the brace system or with aligners. I wore a plaque like all the kids of that time. The straightening was not successful and the desired result could not be achieved. At the age of 19, I decided to undergo braces treatment. After three years, the treatment was completed, and the result was really satisfying. However, in the long run, the teeth still returned to almost the stage they were in at the beginning of the treatment with braces.

Present your orthodontic treatment case. Have you thought about straightening your teeth before? If so, why did you delay treatment?
My long road to teeth straightening started at the age of 12. At that time, no one in Lithuania knew about the treatment with the brace system or with graves. I had to put up with it, because I simply did not decide on another such treatment due to the duration, high costs and unpleasant sensations in the oral cavity, that is, pain and frequent damage to the oral mucosa due to the system.
What prompted you to straighten your teeth with Lithuanian-made D Aligner teeth straightening trays?
Grinding our teeth with graves manufactured in Lithuania was motivated by trust in specialists with many years of experience, who have accumulated useful experience in cooperation with the best manufacturers of graves abroad.
How often do you need to visit an orthodontist for teeth straightening?
The duration of my treatment with graves is 9 months. Incredibly, only four visits to the doctor are scheduled during this entire period. Of course, I was introduced to what to pay more attention to and, if necessary, to visit the orthodontist earlier than scheduled.
Has the grave affected your daily life in any way? What benefits have you noticed?
Yes, the routine has changed a bit. I started to brush my teeth more often and carefully, I got into the habit of flossing at least several times a day. And the funnest of all is that frequent snacking has disappeared from the agenda, because I'm simply too lazy to take out the graves often:)
How did you get used to the graves? Did they affect speaking? Is it easy to put in/take out? Doesn't it hurt? What would you say are the biggest advantages of graves?
I got used to the graves after a week. It took so long to learn how to take them off and put them on correctly. I change the sets of braces every two weeks, on the first day with the new braces, the teeth are a little loose, but incomparably less than when wearing the braces system. Speaking was very minimally affected by the caps, since they do not cover the entire palate, it was more difficult to speak for the first three days. After the adaptation period, only the sound "s" is pronounced differently.
How do those around you react to the graves? Do you notice that you have pitted teeth?
The fact that I am wearing graves is only noticed by those around me when they stand very close to me. Properly maintained graves do not lose their transparency, so they appear less noticeable, and if they remain noticed, they look aesthetically pleasing.
Would you recommend D Aligner dental aligners to a friend and why?
Not only to recommend it, but I have already recommended it to my brother, who has started the preparatory "homework" for treatment with braces:) As I mentioned above, the biggest advantages of teeth straightening with braces are the aesthetic appearance of braces, minimal effect on the articulation of sounds, lower costs than the braces system, quite short treatment period, small number of visits to the orthodontist, no unpleasant and painful sensations in the oral cavity.

Jurgita's success story
Jurgita, tell me what was the situation of your teeth before you started building aligners?
I already had orthodontic treatment with braces a good 6 years ago, but even with the retainer wire and wearing the plate at night, my lower teeth started to crook. Well, the situation before the aligners was not the same as before the first orthodontic treatment, but I was not satisfied with the fact that the lower teeth visually began to migrate to their old places.
Why did you choose teeth straightening with transparent crowns produced in Lithuania?
At first I wanted to get braces again because I knew it wouldn't last long, but the orthodontist suggested I try the D Aligner aligners, saying that the treatment time would be similar and less uncomfortable than with braces.

Tell us about the course of treatment, the adaptation period, the difficulties experienced? What would you say are the biggest advantages of graves?
Only 7 pairs of caps were made for me, so the treatment lasted a little over 2 months. Compared to braces, I felt much less discomfort, because nothing irritated my lips and cheeks, but the feeling of pulling my teeth and the "pain" was the same. Also, during the entire treatment period, I was washing a little while wearing the graves. The most difficult part of wearing the caps was probably brushing my teeth after eating before putting the caps on, because there wasn't always time for that at work, so sometimes I wore the caps less than recommended. But I think the biggest advantage of braces is that you can take them out and clean your teeth and interdental teeth well, because braces made the cleaning process very difficult, and besides, they are practically invisible, which is also a big plus.
How would you encourage those who are hesitant about getting their teeth straightened?
From personal experience, I can say that when choosing graves, you will feel much less unpleasant sensations, such as: sores on the cheeks, putting wax on braces, constantly stuck food remains, sticking out and stabbing wire. It's also great fun that you don't have to stop smiling, because the graves are practically invisible.

A love success story
Love, do you care about aesthetic appearance, beauty? Do you think a smile is an important aspect of appearance?
I would think that a beautiful, healthy smile is better than any make-up, beautifying more than any accessory. After all, a person with a wide smile looks happy and enjoying life, full of love for the world, and most importantly, warm and kind. So yes, a smile is a very important aspect of appearance. I know quite a few people who are embarrassed to smile or laugh because the condition of their teeth does not satisfy them. Such people, who never smile, seem sad to me, and maybe even depressed. This is how I would like to tell all of them that you should not invest in jewelry or clothes, but in your smile. A smile adds not only beauty and aesthetics, but also health.

Present your orthodontic treatment case. Have you thought about straightening your teeth before? If so, why did you delay treatment? What prompted you to straighten your teeth?
Well, my teeth are not very crooked, at least I think so. It's just a genetic gap between the front teeth. And I can confidently say that it was not because of them that I started this treatment. My problem started when all four wisdom teeth erupted. There was little space in the lower jaw, so the teeth began to press together and crooked a little. From the outside, this change was not very visible, but I noticed it when I had a panoramic X-ray taken at the Denticija clinic. I could no longer ignore that fact. However, I confess, I delayed the start of the treatment for a long time, because I know that one way or another I will have to face the extraction of wisdom teeth, which I was very afraid of. Because I had a negative experience with wisdom tooth extraction, I was scared and did not want to experience that feeling again in my life. However, I was very lucky that when I decided to face my fear head on, I came across doctor Andrii Petrauskas. This surgeon is a true professional in his field, he performed everything gently, painlessly, calmed and encouraged me when needed and I kept thinking why I didn't go to him first. So that's where the treatment started. Of course, the fact that the wedding itself was approaching also encouraged me, so I wanted to be with a perfect smile on that day.
Have you considered treatment with a conventional brace system?
No, I didn't consider it. As far as I have heard from people around me, friends, acquaintances, braces make it very important to visit the orthodontist often, because something keeps breaking, unhooking, and so on. And after treatment with braces, it is usually necessary to do an aesthetic filling. I didn't want such a long commitment and frequent visits to dentists, and even more so when they offered a complete alternative to braces, I even chose tooth straightening without hesitation. And to this day, I am really happy with my choice, because it met all expectations.
How often do you need to visit an orthodontist for teeth straightening?
With Dr. dentist Jonas Pranckietis, we agreed that he would give me all the graves at once, and I would visit him every third time to change the graves. The graves need to be changed every 2 weeks, so I get those visits almost every month and a half. And anyway, those visits are quick and short, I don't need to lie in the dentist's chair for an hour, he just checks and makes sure the whole process is going smoothly. That inspection is like a preventive check. So such visits do not cause me any unnecessary inconvenience, especially in terms of time.
Has the grave affected your daily life in any way? What benefits have you noticed?
The only thing that has changed the daily routine is that now before eating or drinking, you need to take out the teeth, and after eating and drinking, brush your teeth and put them back in. I would single out that brushing as an advantage. Kapos "learned" to take better care of their oral hygiene. Another advantage, which I think most people would like, is the end of all snacking during the day. Since you have to remove the graves before eating and brush your teeth afterwards, you need to think carefully about whether that one cookie is really worth all the effort J
How did you get used to the graves? Did they affect speaking? Is it easy to put in/take out? Doesn't it hurt?
I got used to the graves in the first days. They didn't cause me any discomfort or unpleasant feeling, so it wasn't even something to get used to. For the first two days, I would say that my teeth were a little sore, but I wouldn't call it pain, I just felt them a little. Well, for the first week, I washed minimally, but it really didn't affect my daily routine and didn't make me feel uncomfortable. The graves are really easy to put in and take out, there's nothing to learn there, except maybe if you change them every two weeks, they don't take them out so much on the first day, but then again, it doesn't cause any problems.
How do those around you react to the graves? Do you notice that you have pitted teeth?
People around me don't even notice them until I tell them myself. When I first showed up to my mom (I hadn't told her I was going to straighten my teeth) she asked if I had whitened my teeth. He noticed some kind of change, but he didn't really see that anything was put on the teeth.
Why did you choose the Lithuanian-made kapa D Aligner?
Well, this is the first Lithuanian grave system, then I thought - why not? After all, the Lithuanians are far advanced with their technologies and laboratories, and I trust their work. Therefore, I can safely encourage others to support the Lithuanian product and choose it, because in my case it has met all expectations.
Would you recommend Dental Graves to friends and why?
Unequivocally - I would recommend it. You don't face any problems when straightening the teeth, there are no metals in the mouth, no wires come off (as happens when wearing braces), you are not required to visit the orthodontist for long visits, you don't need to have teeth straightened after straightening, which is always the case after braces, so that's all the advantages. Nowadays, technology is so advanced that after scanning the teeth and creating a treatment plan, it can show how the position of the teeth will change throughout the straightening process and what the final result will be. So why choose braces when there is a much more modern way and a simpler and painless straightening method. After all, beauty lies in simplicity 🙂

How to start treatment?
Step 1. Dentistry clinic. Choose a dental clinic where you want to straighten your teeth.
Step 2. Consultation with a specialist and diagnostics. During the first consultation, the dentist will take a photo of your smile and scan your teeth with a scanner. Information about your teeth, together with the treatment plan, will be sent to the D Aligner laboratory.
Step 3. Creating a treatment plan. Based on the data, the laboratory will model a 3D visualization, which will reflect the image before and after the treatment. The visualization will show how the teeth will move during the treatment, what the final image of the smile will be and how many sessions the treatment will take. Even before you start straightening your teeth, you will be able to see how your smile will look after the treatment and find out the real price of your treatment.
Step 4. Making graves.
Step 5. Treatment and monitoring of results.
What is the duration of treatment with aligners?
The number of tooth sets and the duration of the treatment depends on the condition of the teeth and the complexity of the treatment. The average duration of teeth straightening with grafts is about 9-18 months. It is important to mention that the duration of the treatment depends a lot on the patient's cooperation - the more precisely the doctor's recommendations are followed when wearing the braces, the faster the result is achieved.
When do you need to change aligners?
D Aligner teeth straightening trays are changed every 2 weeks, unless otherwise indicated by the dentist.
How long do you need to wear a tombstone?
Caps are worn 20-22 hours a day.
How often should you see a doctor?
Visits to the doctor take place every 4-6 weeks. During the examination, the dentist checks whether the teeth move according to the established treatment plan and gives the required amount of fillings until the next visit. We would like to remind you that you will have to change the graves yourself every 2 weeks.
Is there an age limit for grave treatment?
This treatment can be applied to patients of all ages with all permanent teeth.
How to care for aligners?
The grave should be cleaned every day with a regular toothbrush and water.
Is cup therapy painful?
At the very beginning of treatment with caps and after putting on a new cap, you may feel a slight grinding of the teeth and brushing of the gums. These sensations pass during the first days of treatment.
Can I eat and drink?
When eating and drinking hot or coloring drinks (eg red wine), the graves should be removed so that the graves do not lose their shape, change color or transparency. If you consume cold or non-staining drinks, you do not need to take out the graves.a
I do not live in Lithuania. Can I straighten my teeth with aligners?
When straightening teeth with braces, visits to the dentist are much less frequent than when straightening with braces. If it is not possible to visit a specialist every 4-6 weeks, after assessing the complexity of the treatment, visits can be made less frequent. We would like to remind you that less frequent visits to specialists can increase the total time of teeth straightening.
What is the difference between D Aligner braces and braces?
Transparent and unnoticeable, unlike braces. Shorter duration of treatment and better prediction of treatment results at the first visit. Even before the treatment begins, you will see the final result, that is, how your smile will change with each wear. The exact price of the treatment is provided during the consultation. The tomb can be removed during meals, so no special care is required. Unlike braces, wearing braces avoids the hassle of oral hygiene. Cups are made individually for you, the edges are processed according to your gums, so that you do not feel discomfort. The treatment is less painful, does not damage the oral mucosa and does not cause allergic reactions.
